Year 3: News items
Date: 19th Oct 2020 @ 12:08pm
We finally finished off our friendship bracelets today (after numerous attempts with slippery elastic and bead explosions!) to celebrate rainbow day. We discussed how, as a class, we are all friends together and we should be supporting each other and being consistently kind. The children chose their own designs and had a bead with their initials on to make their bracelet unique.

Whilst some children have done their Christmas designs in school, we are aware that some are isolating and have not had the chance.
If they would like to do a design, please print off the blank design sheet below (A4 size) and ask your child to get creative! There is also an ideas sheet and useful things to remember/hints to help.
Once completed please place your child’s design sheet in the green drop box at the external school foyer (open at drop off and pick up only) by Monday 19th October 2020 so we can quarantine the designs and send them all for scanning.
If you can’t print off the sheet, there are blank copies in the drop box. Please email [email protected] if you have any queries and we will do our best to help

On Friday, to celebrate European day, the children enjoyed tasting a range of different French foods and rating them out of 10. We tried crepes with fruit, croissants, pan au chocolat, french cake, brie, quiche and baguettes. The croissants and crepes were firm favourites - the brie not so much! Please see the Year 3 gallery for pictures of the children trying the foods.

Year Three have had a lovely afternoon celebrating Roald Dahl day. The children took part in a range of activities. Some created their own characters to add to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory including Kelly Cartwheel, Linda Lazy and Tulip Singalot. They then went on to design their own Wonka Chocolate Bar all of which had special power such as an everlasting bar that reappeared when you'd taken a bite!! They also had the opportunity to act out some of Roald Dahl's stories through playscripts.
