School Meal Policy from Monday 8th March 2021
Date: 5th Mar 2021 @ 2:07pm
When children return to school on Monday 8th March, they will continue to eat school meals in the classroom or staggered visits to the hall. If you want your child to have a school lunch, you should order on the Spider survey usually issued on Friday and make payment in advance at the same time (payment only for KS2 children). Options are available on Spider for a single lunch, a week’s lunches and there is now an option to cover all lunches from now until the end of Spring term.
All pupils in the Foundation Stage and Key stage 1 are entitled to receive Universal Infant Free School meals. Therefore payment information only relates to pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) whose parents pay for school meals.
From Monday 8th March we will be adopting a two week debt policy for school meals - if you have arrears on your child’s lunch account amounting to £25.00 or more (which equates to two full weeks of school lunches), we will no longer be able to provide your child with a school meal and a packed lunch must be provided until the debt is cleared.
We will of course take individual circumstances into account, please contact the school office if you have any queries.
If you believe you may be eligible for Income Related Free School meals and have not yet applied please call Cheshire East on 0300 123 5012 option 1 to apply.

Date: 18th Dec 2020 @ 9:44am
A very special visitor came to Vernon yesterday! He brought lots of gifts for all the children and visited each class (from a distance and outdoors in the playground and outside areas...Santa has to be very careful this year!). The children were so excited to see him, wave and cheer! Thank you to Santa's little helpers for all the treats and to the busy man himself for coming to Vernon! Merry Christmas!
