Year 3 Space Day

Year 3 had a wonderful Space Day yesterday. The day began with them introducing themselves as their aliens.  They had very creative ideas and all spoke very clearly.  There were lots of different activities throughout the day.  In the morning, they explored the constellations and created them for partners to guess using marshmallows and cocktail sticks.  There was a competition to create a spacecraft and see which one would fly the furthest.  The day ended with a treasure hunt around school tracking down the planets and aliens that lived on them.  Everyone had lots of fun and one child commented that the day was "out of this world!"  Have a look in the Year 3 Space Day gallery for photos of the day.
